 Aloha.
2 more wednesdays till Wedding wednesday is OUR WEDDING wednesday. :)

For todays post I have asked my friend Vicky (Check out her work here )  for a few bridal make up tips.

Brides don't have to get their make-up done by a professional. The most important thing is that the bride is happy with the make-up. If the bride feels confident enough to do her own make-up on the day it is completely fine. There are some make-up artists who have make-up lessons on offer for you to learn the best ways to apply your make-up. (I heard this is what kate middleton did for her wedding).

Brides can research their desired look if they wish but they must keep in mind that it's not going to make them look exactly like an image they have chosen which is why having a trial is a good idea. You will find that most brides tend to go for a very natural style make-up as it will not go out of date when looking back at the photos in years to come. I would recomend to keep it as similar to the make-up you wear from day to day so you know you will feel comfortable with how you look. I think the same would apply for lipstick, if the bride wears a certain colour lipstick (e.g. red) alot in day to day life then go for it on the day but just make sure you feel comfortable. Your wedding day is not the best time to try out a new look because if it goes wrong it will be with you for a long time.

Waterproof mascara is recommended for the bride and most females at the ceremony as i doubt anyone wants to look like alice cooper in a white dress. Other things that are good to keep to hand for any touch ups are lipstick/gloss and a bit of concealer.

To make sure your skin is looking it's best on the big day I would recommend to get a good nights rest, drink plenty of water and moisturise daily. Simple.

A few of my favouites:

Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation
Benefit high Beam Highlighter

Day 136 of 365:

I'm actually not minding the rain. Get it alll out the way before next week. :)
Like my sweet Casio David bought me? I loooove it.

This time next week My mom and Jim will already be here and we will be celebrating David's graduation.
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

David, Paul, Gemma, Peter, Helen and I are going to go watch Bridesmaids tonight. The first time I saw the poster  I was like oh great another crap girly film, then when I saw the previews I thought it actually looks pretty funny. I shall let ya know.  It has the woman from Mike & Molly in it and my mom literallly DIES with laughter while watching it. I can't watch her without thinking of my mom's contagious, heart touching laugh. Only a couple more days. :)
Check back tomorrow.

Greetings!
How is everyone today?
I have caught some kind of a cold. It was weird, because it came and went in one day!
I woke up literally feeling of death and throughout the day it just got better.
When I am sick back at home I usually when not following my mom everywhere around the house like a sad puppy dog hanging onto her, or laying in her bed am snugged up on the couch watching brain washing television. My mom usually brings me a coke slushie! I remember when David and I first started dating and I had been ill and in the middle of the night I was like I know what would make me feel better; A COKE SLUSHIEE!!!! David being the gentleman that he is went, not knowing where to really get one he drove round gas station to gas station trrying to find one for me. :)
That's really a pointless story I'm sure it sounded like it was going somewhere. lol I am a bit disappointed because my fingers were typing faster getting to the end and then when I just typed the period at the end of the sentence it was like womp womp that's it? That's all I have to say? hahah.

Wedding Wednesday:
BRIDESMAIDS!!
Along with the grooms sticking to tradition, let's break some traditions with the bridesmaids!!
From having floral prints, to mixed prints, to color palettes.
Having your bridesmaids in the same dress? Why not let each bridesmaid stand out by accessorizing to her own style. Its a very fun organized yet thrown together look. Plus these girls are your bridesmaids because you love them for who they are right? Why not let them still be themselves on your day! It is your day ofcourse, but if the bridesmaid doesn't feel comfortable in what she's wearing it may come across in pictures! Go crazy with these!!

I love the polka dots! It's such a different feel to bridesmaids, and very vintage.
In the second one you can see what I meant by the shoes!
Thirdly this is my best friend Kaitlyn's wedding (theres me :)!) she had us all pick out what we wanted as long as it was yellow! It was so much fun when we all pulled out our dresses to see who brought what!!

Here's a fun and daring way to approach bridesmaids dresses!
GO for a color palette.

Day 129 of 365:
Soooo sooon to be :)

Hola Compadres!
Ahhhhh it's so nice having David home.
He's so good to me, he bought me a Casio watch that I've been oogling for AGES, a few bracelets( you know the woven and braided ones, and a nice over the shoulder bag with really neat pattern on it.
Also that something that my mom tracked down has arrived at hers today. She sent me a picture and they look FABULOUS!! I can't wait for all the little details to come together. Especially those I do's.

Wedding Wednesday:
I just wanted to go over attire alittle bit.
Brides if you are on a budget or even fancy a bargain preownedweddingdresses.com is a really good place to have a look. They have some amazing wedding dresses for some pretty good prices.

Now a subject I'd like to touch is grooms! Grooms; you may think that it is just the bride's day to shine, this is YOUR day as well. More and more people are scared to think outside the box.
I'm talking bow ties, floral ties, checkered ties, vests, suspenders the list goes on and on. Stand out from the crowd.
Image from Pinterest but I found it on Simply bloom photography.

I am also a MASSIVE massive fan of the Groom to stand out from the rest of the groomsmen. Be that he wears a dark suit and the others a lighter or vice versa, it not only makes a statement but looks great in photographs. If you think about it, the bride isn't wearing what the bridesmaids are wearing so why should the groom follow the sheep?
Think bright and bold colors, even if your wearing the same suit why not wear a checkered top underneath, or a bowtie while the rest wear ties. Also men, let's start getting into the fitted suits please and thank you? Just like men wanting to see what a womans figure is, the women wanna see the men. So show it off, don't hide it under a big baggy oversized suit.

Day 122 of 365:

Finally, he's home. Oh how I've missed him.
